~~Stellaris v[4.0 – 4.1.7] General Fixes
This is a continuation of Vanilla Fixes v3.11.x by RMG and even more, it combines some old Vanilla Fixes mods that I found (credits below and in-code).
I initially created these fixes for myself to eliminate the noise and give myself a foundation for actually modding in peace. Since it’s well known that PDX sometimes never fixes certain bugs(or only fixes them years later). So, I’ve now started releasing this collection of general bug fixes for Vanilla and to give Stellaris a little kick in the bottom.
The plan is to make the mod timeless and to continuously expand and update it. All bug fixes included in all my other mods will be slowly integrated here.
- Fixes "Features": Corrects a huge amount of various bugs I or other found.
- Performance: tuning, script logic, cleanups (merging) AI_weights and modifiers, using modern syntax as intended, sorting triggers after priority.
- Localisation: some open reported fixes (for all languages).
- Creates a Base for Modding: Lets you build on a foundation that isn’t actively screaming at you.
- Silences the error.log: Fixes spam so you can find *real* errors (like from your other mods).
Creating these bug fixes is a lot of work, but listing and documenting them is another level of effort. Therefore, due to the sheer amount, each bug is usually self-explanatory in the code and marked with "# Vfix" (~1000 – even not counting minor ones).
A detailed list of fixes will follow soonโ possible, since PDS will integrate the majority of these fixes into the next version, it’s maybe not needed.
By subscribing, liking, and favourite, you help the indie developer (PDX) by showing him exactly where the problems lie(maybe just the symptoms, not the reasons, to be clear). It also tells other players:
"No, the game really isn’t just a bundle held together by hope.", "No, you’re not crazy. The game really is like this."
PDS and Ariphaos and you can take everything from here for free. Credit is appreciatedif the bug could be named and was particularly inspiring.
PS: PDS has already begun to integrate this mod into Vanilla – since v4.1.7 – as you can see in the CHANGE LOG).
- to WP for inspiring me.
- to Ariphaos for long time maintaining his Patch mod[github.com] (and including my fixes as well).
- to PDX for making this mod possible.
- to You, for reading this far (or you just like this section; I appreciate essential skills when used at the right time). Since you’ve met the prerequisites, you’re now predestined for the important stuff.
- to Person012345 for supporting me.[ko-fi.com]
- to my girlfriend, who forces me all the time away from Stellaris.
- Not achievement compatibleobviously, we want to free you from needless pain.
- Not tutorial compatibleyes, we know, and now you know.
- For best results, place this mod near the top of your load order. Let my fixes get overwritten by your cool content mods, not the other way around.
- Possible conflicts with other mods that fix the same things.
- This mod essentially works as an extension to the Unofficial Ariphaos Patch. (I’ve been supporting this mod for a long time and still do). The same instructions apply here. So, my mod must be BELOW Ariphaos’, because all overlaps are includedmostly.
- Includes all Bug Fixes by Dr. Addiction, but less dominant (merged and updated for v4.2 just as it was v4.0)
- Compat. with Stellaris Reforged: Base Fixes by v.kihot (merged and updated)
Special Note: This is NOT an Unofficial Ariphaos Unofficial Patch Updateโฆ for now. As long as it’s not up-to-date, it simply can’t be recommended.Sorry for any confusion, temporal stability isnโt guaranteed.
Additional Note: Since some people (who haven’t read everything completely ๐ and) are wondering why full file overwrite, I have to say (Ariphaos should have already explained this in detail):
TL;DR LO is crucial! It’s the only way to keep the vanilla Load Order active, and I don’t want to compete with my modding friend Inny MoRe.
This should be compatible with nearly everything as long as this is at the top of your load order. Most changes are independent of each other, and those that are not should work at least as well as in vanilla if one part gets overwritten.
Too Long Version; Do Watch(thx Wymorlon for extra hinting):
- PDX next DLC
- Fixing Paradox’s Game For Them
- Cyberization Vanilla Fix [4.1]
- Stellaris Mod Downgrader to v3.14[github.com] – THE v4.1 REGRESSOR (WIP)
- Stellaris Reforged: AI by v.kihot

In the end, we will all die, but your like and honoration can stay here forever.
* Git Repository.[github.com] – For the lulz (WIP)
* Please use the discussions threads or comments for reporting.
A sum can be put right: but only by going back till you find the error and working it afresh from that point, never by simply going on.
We strongly encourage users to report any issues caused by this mod immediately (currently nothing known). Please note that a ‘dislike’ is not a bug report, and due to the very strange Steam algorithm, just one ‘dislike‘ is roughly the effective equivalent of ~500 subscribers less.๐
If the amount of negative rating effort outweighs my mental resilience, I will regrettably be unable to continue providing these free fixes for PDX and the Stellaris community and any enthusiasts.
Thanks to all supporters and subscribers who actually appreciate this madness. You keep the fixes flowing.๐
