Parallel Evolution: A Cyberman Species Mod
Adds a new species, the Cybermen, from BBC’s Doctor Who. I have attempted to cover both Classic and NuWho Cybermen.
- All portraits are animated.
- All portrait sets except the Mondasian Cybermen have three appearances to denote ranking – drone, commander, and cyber controller.
- The Mondasians have two – the bulky ones from Classic Who and the skinnier ones from Season 10 of NuWho.
- Includes preset empires, name lists, and custom flags.
I have had to get slightly creative with some of the designs, but I’ve tried to keep some aesthetic consistency across each type of Cyberman!
Please note that the preset empires will not appear without my Cyberman shipset. The link for this is down below!
The Cybermen have always been my favourite Doctor Who villains and I’ve always felt that the Cybermen were a good fit for Stellaris’ style gameplay. A couple of years ago, after watching a lot of Classic Who, I became hooked on their classic designs and needed to see them represented in some way. This is the result!
(I also wanted an excuse to learn how to use Blender)
If you fancy more Doctor Who content…
- In case you fancy some Cyberman ships for mass assimilation, check out Steel Armada, my Cyberman ship set
- My Cyberman advisor mod pairs well with this too!
- Also check out Genesis of the Daleks, my Dalek species mod or alternatively VelociRandom’s Dalek portraits instead. You may well prefer those!
- There’s also VelociRandom’s excellent Dalek advisor to keep you company
- And to complete the set, take a look at VelociRandom’s brilliant Dalek shipset!
- You’ll definitely need some Sontarans, so take a look at Glory of Sontar, my Sontaran portrait mod
Finally, if you’re looking for a pretty definitive Doctor Who playthrough…
This portrait set is integrated into ergotoxin’s amazing Whoniverse Galaxy Mod, which I can’t recommend enough!
