War Report
This is my first published mod (made public on 26/09/2022).
I’ve used it myself on multiple games since months on its previous iterations.
This mod allow you to easily visualize which systems you need to take over during a war, and / or what is missing to end this war.
I began working on this after being multiple times stuck on a war not knowing why the AI refused to let me win.
Sometimes telling me I had some unclaimed things while I did not or things like that.
When in war you get an easy quest chain allowing you to access a big UI and LOTS on info on your Info Log (where you have the anomalies and so on).
To access it, either occupy an enemy planet and use your troops, or use your spy on the new mission.
After that, check you Log, and validate the mission to access the repeatable mission to create the War Report.
You will have access to it until the end of this war. You can refresh it every day if you want.
(You can remove it from the Log by clicking on the options on the big pannel)
It will show you lots of enemy systems with planets, the more important to win the war first.
Claimed : if you don’t have these, AI will never accept to surrender.
Navy : you forget to occupy some planet ! (you’ll also see this system on the other category)
Usefull Systems : Everything (but 10 max). Only category showing systems without planets. Useful if AI refuse to let you win after you have already taken all his planets.
Country : show the planets of only this country (on the others it can show any enemy)
The log is pretty useful as you can PIN one or all the category on the galaxy map to see where these systems are, or go to this particular system to see where it is.
Yes your AI ally claimed a system at the other side of the map, that’s why this war still hasn’t ended.
You conquered all claimed systems? No ally to make mistake? But the enemy says no? Sure they didn’t take back a starbase somewhere? (3rd screen, happened on this game for real, my fleet was far away…)
Your losses are also shown, and color coded depending on how an issue it is.
This mod give a lot of informations, and may be too big an advantage on early games.
It works if you add it on a save with a current war.
Iit will clear everything after the war has ended (If you want to remove the mod during a war, check the option menu however )
There may have some little isues, but nothing hurting the gameplay.
Biggest bugs I know of :
– on the log, the enemy leader is not the good one (it’s good on the information pannel however)
– if you have multiple wars going on, I’ll let you choose, while the quests should not allow that (create too many bugs if not)
– quests use globals, so some cheats you use may pose issues (like if you change country)
– icons are terrible, I know
– French is not up to date
– not sure the little edict I added for endgame time only works well
