Description:
When suppressing a faction just ain’t good enough.

Very straightforward mod that allows you to take suppressing a faction one step further.

You cannot ban a faction that is based on your empire ethos. For example, if your empire is fanatic militarist/xenophobe, you cannot ban militarist or xenophobe factions.

You must suppress a faction before you can ban it.

Banning a faction will effectively eliminate it, but will land your empire with an influence penalty, as well as a guarentee that no-one is going to be re-forming that faction unless the ban is lifted.

Bans are lifted with empire edicts. This costs Influence, to counter the exploit of banning a faction to kill it and then immediately lifting the ban.

Members of a faction that is banned will suffer a -75% (up from -50% in v2.0) happiness penalty for up to two years and are very likely to re-evalute and change their ethics and will very likely join the appropriate faction of their new ethic..

NEW TO 2.1: Planets with ex-faction members of a banned faction may now protest or even riot.

COMPATIBILITY
Included in AlphaMod: Divided Loyalties. Do not use if you use this supplement.
Otherwise, not included in/does not require/works with AlphaMod.
All the vanilla faction files are modded, so this won’t be compatible with other faction mods.
Built against Stellaris v2.1.
The AI will not ban factions. I didn’t even try to get it to work.
Probably best not to use with an existing save-game. Might break it.
Not Ironman achievement compatible. Obviously.
