2.0 Cherryh Edition

Not achievement compatible!

—–

"We are an empire of absolute domination, enslaving all. But we won’t kill people, that’s bad."

"I’m an authoritarian xenophile, which means we won’t interfere with primitive species the way we do our own pops."

"My pops are my slaves. But only some of them, because enslaving everyone is for bigots."

Some of the restrictions for your government are a little… odd.

Now, thanks to Morality;

  • Authoritarian governments can set the "Slavery" species right, as dictators might well want to do.
  • Fanatic authoritarian governments can purge species that do not fit their agenda, like any other dictatorial tyrants.
  • Egalitarian governments now hate slavery, which was a bizarre thing to leave out of vanilla.
  • Fanatic egalitarian governments now no longer allow "displace" options.
  • Xenophile (albeit not fanatic xenophile) governments can also interfere with pre-FTL people "for their own good".
  • Xenophile governments are now allowed to use slavery and displacement, unless also egalitarian.
  • Xenophobe (albeit not fanatic xenophobe) governments can use alien scum as battle fodder.

No diplomatic/opinion changes have been made, so you can still enjoy the repercussions of other empires thinking that what you’ve done is a *bad idea*.
