Hellow everyone, so here is my new mod:

About that mod >

Cortana is an AI able to research new technologies by herself for the country. She will act like a sort of 4th researcher, but instead of using physics/society/engineering ressources she will work with edict and events.

How to Active Cortana?

First of all you must research the Administrative AI tech which should be available in the early game. After that a new edict called "Active Cortana" will be unlocked because yeah Cortana will need a lot of energy to research something, 3500 to be exact. If you have the tech and enought energy then the edict will be available and so by activing it Cortana will be powered up and new event will start showing a menu telling cortana what she is supposed to research.

What is the Price?

For now the price is the same for all the techs available in Cortana’s Menu which mean 3500 energy. However after ordering and finishing a research which is instantaneous she will enter in a cooldown which will take months depending on the level of the techs for example 3 months for level 1 lasers up to 7 months for level 5 lasers(the cooldown will probably be raised in the future for balance). Once she is in cooldown the edict will dissapear waiting for her to recover with an event warning the player when Cortana is ready for the next tech.

Can Cortana Research Everything?

Of course not, for balance she has been limited, and here is a list of what Cortana can’t research:
– Psionics techs
– FTL techs
– Spaceports techs
– Military Station techs
– Ascension Paths techs
– Mega Engineering techs
– Robots techs
– Sentient AI techs
– Repeatable techs(maybe yes in the future)

Can the AI use Cortana ?

No.

There is Tech that I would want Cortana to Research Can you add it ?

– If that tech isn’t in the forbidden list then yes, it will probably be placed in the "Other" menu.

More Informations

– That mod is compatible with multiplayer.
– That mod is compatible with old saves.
– No files were replaced so that mod should be compatible with anything.
– For now I’m not planing to make that mod compatible with other mods adding new modules, weapons or buildings, because there are just no way to check if a mod is activated with events, and that is very annoying.
