Gain Resources from Diplomatic Actions
Have you ever thought that diplomatic actions such as NAPs and Guarantee Independence seem like negative utility? Federations don’t seem worth it? Well this mod basically attempts to fix those issues.
-Gain a flat and percent unity buff from Non-Aggression Pacts.
-Gain a flat alloy buff and ship upkeep reduction from One-Way Guarantees.
-Federation policies that only the federation president can edit. Various federation policies are associated with a specific focus. For example, if you pick the Unification and Stability focus, you’ll get federation policies involving ideals, media, and political affairs.
I plan to add more things that make the game’s diplomacy a more viable strategy (and in turn change the name) at some point. The mod itself was initially a showerthought so I’m unsure about how this will impact balance so numbers and modifiers are obviously not final and up to debate.
-Should be compatible with all mods as it changes no vanilla files.
-Load order for this mod doesn’t matter. Any compatibility patches involving this mod should be below this one.
–Yes, you can use this mod in 2.3.*, 2.4.* AND 2.5.* without problems! If the mod doesn’t work (you waited 2 monthly ticks and you don’t have this mod’s empire modifier), resubscribe and if you’re using 2.4 or above, disable and reenable the mod.
Q: I just started my save and I don’t see any modifiers/not getting anything from them. I KNOW that I have at least 1 NAP/one-way guarantee on an empire.
A: Wait two monthly ticks. The mod takes a monthly tick for the modifiers to show and the second month to gain the resources.
Q: I just lost my policies after changing my federation focus policy! What happened?!
A: That’s how the Federation Focus policy works. Each focus has different policies relating to them. There was a warning in the tooltip by the way so… :/
