Description:

This is a bugfix mod to address an issue with Ancient Relics deposits. The 2.3.3 patch has fixed this, and this mod will be removed from the workshop once early versions of 2.3 are no longer available.

The problem is that the deposits d_industrial_sector (Industrial Sector, relic world) and d_mutation_vats (Mutation Vats, via archaeology iirc) don’t qualify as you having an instance of Volatile Motes, Exotic Gases, or Rare Crystals in your empire so that you can get the technologies that let you harvest them. In the unfortunate case that these deposits are your only sources of those resources, this mod changes things so the relevant technologies can now spawn.

Note that you’ll have to clear any blockers on those deposits before they qualify as existing for the techs to spawn.

This mod is not compatible with mods that override the 00_strategic_resources_tech file, though those are probably few and far between.

Additionally, I’ve been warned that overwriting vanilla tech files can lead to odd behavior in seemingly unrelated parts of the tech tree (techs not being available to research when they ought to be). If you find yourself in need of this mod, I would therefore recommend using it only as long as necessary to get your strategic resource techs researched and then disabling it again.

Let me know if you have any problems.
