Description:
SPACE GOATS, COAST TO COAST

I like dimorphism mods that eschew anthropomorphization in favor of mimicking the dimorphism of similar known life forms, so I made a couple of my own.

This mod adds dimorphism to Mammalian 12, aka space goats, introducing the female space goat. She’s a strong, independent ewe who don’t need no ram. (Yes, I know "ewe" and "ram" are for sheep, not goats. Whatever, "nanny goat" and "billy goat" sound dumb. Also, they’re not really goats, they’re aliens.)

Space Goat Evolution

Space goat horns originally evolved for defense and mating display. In the past, male space goats used their horns to compete for females, which is why the males generally have larger horns. Nowadays they mostly use dating apps.

What I Did

I’m not an artist, just someone who messed around in GIMP a bit. Basically I took the default "male" space goat portrait and shrunk the horns. And I liked it, so I put a ring on it.

Why do the female space goats get bling but not the males? I don’t know, but I’m not about to question their fashion choices, and neither should you. Maybe the males have like fifteen rings on their left horn where you can’t see them. Maybe I was too lazy to mess with the male portraits.

Future Updates

I’ve had this mod sitting on my hard drive for over a year and didn’t bother uploading it until now, so chances are I’ll be too lazy to update it either. That said, it’s exceedingly unlikely to ever break. If it does break, feel free upload a fixed version.

More Portraits?

I’ve got one other dimorphism mod: Space Peafowl Dimorphism

Since GIMP stopped supporting .dds files some time ago, it’s unlikely I’ll make any more of these. Also, I don’t really have the necessary skill to do so. If you want more portraits, you’re probably better off finding someone who knows what they’re doing.

I hope y’all enjoy these space goats.
