Description:

Currently brain-dead AI creates sub-species in EVERY SINGLE TIME, if AI has access to advanced gene modding. It just keep gene modding forever, not only creating massive lag through massive lag by job-selector calculation due to having too much sub-species, but also actually killing AI’s society research capability by wasting massive amount of society points.

Species, Sub-Species, Sub-Species’s Sub-Species, Sub-Species’s Sub-Species’s Sub-Species…….

What this mod do?

This mod changes ai_weight for biologic ascension perks to zero, so AI can NEVER enact biologic ascension path. This prevents AI from wasting its society point and creating massive lag by creating s__t ton of sub-species.

Having b__ s__t excess amount of species is the one of MAJOR cause of LAG. I actually made "No Xeno Compatibility" mod that disables one of disgusting lag ascension perk, but I found that, instead of creating hybrids, now AI creates brain-dead amount of sub-species via biologic ascension.

So, here is the solution: NO BIO-ASCENSION FOR AI.

But what AI can do if it cannot have Bio-Ascension?

In fact, AI DO NOT NEED ANY BONUS FROM SPECIES TRAIT.
They get AI bonus anyway! Why AI will need any output bonus when it can be replaced with AI bonus?

Ofc, they might suffer reduced growth speed by not having that trait added through gene modding, but AI dont even tends to add growth speed trait via gene modding anyway. Moreover, you could use some difficulty mods that allows you to add additional bonus to AI, giving them more than simple output/upkeep bonus, as alternative option.

How this mod can reduce lag?

It is simple. Less species, less job-selector calculations.

Further Recommendations

I strongly recommend you to use MINIMAL PRIMITIVES SETTING. Every primitive civilization comes with its OWN species. When they are in primitive status, they do not cause lag as they do not have job calculations. However, AI Empires causes problem here. AI will always either invade or enlighten primitives, meaning that, all primitives under AI control, will cause MORE SPECIES BEING ADDED TO GAME = LAG.

Furthermore, I also strongly recommend using No Xeno Compatibility mod, so neither AI, nor YOU can use that disgusting heretic perk. (Hybrid = Spawn of Lag Demon)

Well ofc, purging entire galaxy to remove lag works, but it takes forever to do so. :v

I also strongly recommend you to avoid additional trait mods, as more trait means de-facto more job-calculations.
(Job Calculation increases if there is species with different trait is on planet. if all species have same trait, though having more species still increases lag, it is not as bad as having same amount of species with different traits.)

Will it work with Saves?

Yes. It obviously works with save. But, bah! Not actually.

I am so sorry, but it is not quite possible to remove already activated Ascension Perk or researched Advanced Gene-Modding Tech (Genetic Re-sequencing.) If you are at post mid-game already, well it is too late. Considerable amount of AI empires should already activated Bio-Ascension at this point. Furthermore, there must be a s__t ton of sub species’s sub species’s sub species’s sub species…. in game already.

If you are in middle of quite matured game progress, only option left to you is, invading every AI Empire with s__t ton of sub species, resettling entire sub species’s sub species’s sub species’s sub species…. to single planet, induce planetary rebellion, then COLOSUSING that d___ned planet at once and for all. Consider this as the true end game crisis.

OR, you could go to Synthetic Ascension and "UPGRADE" entire life in galaxy, for faster space time progress.

WIll it work with any other mods?

Having cool Ascension Perk mod is far less important than having no sub-species spam. Thus, this mod have massive amount of "!" on its mod name, in order to override any mod that mods Biologic Ascension Perk. So, all subscribers can be free of this h___ish non-sense any time and any where!

If you are concerned about having multi-ascension mods, you may use:
* activate_ascension_perk ap_engineered_evolution
* activate_ascension_perk ap_evolutionary_mastery
console commands.

It is quite a pain to do so, but are you seriously sure that you are ok with more than 50+ sub-species being present in galaxy for single species, as a result of having a simple convenience?
