Description:

Adds in a namelist at empire creation of Warhammer Dwarf names.

I have included as many names as I could find. I’ve also included as many variations as I could find for everything.

Breakdown

  • Ruler Names: Rulers will use random first names, but use notable last names (i.e. Ironhammer).
  • Leader Names: Leaders use semi-random first and last Dwarf names. Most last names will be based off their father (45% chance), then mother (25% chance), uncle (15% chance), aunt (10% chance), or a notable last name (5%).
  • Planet Names: Names are based off various locations in the Dwarf realm. They are combined from various first names (i.e. generic first name Skraklaz) and various last names (i.e. water planet only Varr).
  • Fleet Names: These are based off either specific clans or Throngs of various holds.
  • Ship Names: Following the types of names of the few named battleships/airships/artillery (i.e. The Hammer of Grungni), these are namemd in two ways: Either as "[Ancestor Name]’s X" or "The X of [Ancestor]". Additional lore firendly names and additional ancestor’s added. Military ships draw from the full ship name pool while civilian ship names draw from a smaller ship pool, usually with more defensive names.
  • Ship Types: Ship type names draw on clan names and various tabletop unit/related names.
  • Army Names: Currently use some fairly basic names, some of which are based offf some fringe Warhammer lore (i.e. Rune Golem for Robotic Armies).

Most leaders will have traditional Warhammer Dwarf last names (last name is their father’s/mother’s/uncle’s/aunt’s with a special suffix), while a few will have more notable last names (i.e. Ironhammer). They are much rarer however unless you have a nation that uses regnal names (i.e. monarchies).

All planet and ship names are based off organic combinations of all related Warhammer Dwarf names I could find, so you won’t see big-nbame places that often (and when you do, you’ll probably get a different combo than the canon one!).

If anyone has additional names from Warhammer Fantasy for me to use, just link me here and I’ll try to add them!
