update July 16: Booted up the game today and found out I accidentally gave genemodding to everybody, not just Kett. Oops.

After much blood, sweat, and tears (mostly tears) I have my first original mod! Yay! I present to you, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Kett Empire!

Features:
– Custom species portrait
– Custom "Exalted" trait, with massive benefits but an equally massive drawback
– Premade Empire
– Starts with the ability to genemod
– Unique playstyle based around Exaltation- conquer new species and absorb them into your genome!

Style:
The Kett are obsessed with biological ascension! They’ve made great strides in improving their genome, but accidentaly made their species nearly sterile. Thankfully, they have the ability to genemod other species (a process called "exaltation") to become like the Kett, and these "Chosen" have absolute loyalty to the empire. Let your vassal species populate worlds, then Exalt them for the glory of the Kett!

note: This mod is based on roleplaying, largely. Nothing is forcing you to do anything a certain way. But for best results, humor me yeah?

Known Issues:
– Doesn’t work very well as ai, and are disabled from spawning by default. The ai can’t make smart decisions about genemodding, sorry.
– There’s a whole bunch of "completed research" icons when you start the game. Pick a research and they’ll go away.
– As far as I know there’s no way to change a species’ portrait ingame right now. Exalting a species won’t change anything visually. Nothing I can do about that.

Recommended mods:
Enhanced Genemodding- Lets you rename exalted species, and makes them easier to keep track of.
