Description:

Due to an ongoing move, further large mod development will likely halt for the next month. Beyond this, I cannot give more detail. I appreciate the continued support and hope you all can understand.

Do you think Stellaris needs a bit extra in the way of diplomacy? Yeah I do too so here we are. Due to my inability to wait for the mystical diplomacy patch I decided to make something new to spice up my playthroughs. And here we are: The Galactic Nations Assembly.

Features

"Basically the United Nations in space, but somewhat useful."
Note: The GNA will become available after 60 years and 75% of the galaxy’s nations have been discovered by one nation to prevent too much overlap with the market. I do not guarantee this mod will function correctly if added during an ongoing game.

Shape how the Galaxy Thinks*
– Seek to outlaw or legalize the fates for natives.
– Decide whether or not the galaxy thinks purging IS a moral practice to partake in.
– Is slavery in or is it out?
– Should planet killing weapons of mass destruction be a casual addition to everyday life?
– Tell the world that AI will definitely not kill you all, or desperately tell them automating ships with sentience is a bad idea.

Target your Rivals*
– Denounce that purge loving neighbor you have and make him feel really bad.
– Tell the neighborhood bully he pays extra for goods on the market because he’s a mean person.
– Call for a crusade. Because some people just don’t learn when to stop.

Work Together as a Galaxy*
– Crowdfund some megastructure projects together with the galaxy.
– Prioritize research as a galaxy.
– Use the market to subsidize resource production.

Pay for usual Politics
– From using somewhat illegal means to buy votes,
– To showing off how much money you’re willing to spend on elections.

*These issues will need a majority vote to pass.

Compatibility

If you use Mod Menu you must download this patch mod to have the two mods be compatible.

This mod changes the vanilla government_view.gui file. Besides that there’s not any other changes.
NOT ironman compatible.

Recent Update Notes

– Added an edict to serve as backup in case a player cannot access the normal government panel’s button. Is it elegant? No. Does it work? Probably*
– Fixed other minor issues.

Upcoming Content

I plan to continue working on this mod some more in the future. Some basic plans are:
– Potential Crisis Issues
– Emergency Sessions for new, pressing issues
– More events to further flesh out the existing issues.
When will these be done? I’m not sure. I’m moving soon and that will slow down my plans a bit. I also wish to work on another mod or two that I’ve been sitting on for the past two months while I worked on this.
What happens when the diplomacy update comes out? I don’t know.

FAQ

– "How do I open the mod’s UI?" Check the government panel by clicking on your flag. You should see a fourth tab at the bottom. IF YOU DO NOT: go to your edicts and activate the galactic nations assembly edict to open the ui instead.
– "Can I add this mod to an existing game?" You should be able to, yes.
– "Can this mod be localized in my language?" I only speak English, if you can translate the mod for me look in the next section.
– "Who can be a part of the Assembly?" Everyone EXCEPT fallen/awakened empires, marauders, and genocidal nations.

Current Localisation

If you wish to contribute and do localisation for another language I would appreciate it. You’ll be listed here for credit. Please leave a comment citing that you would like to translate if you choose to.
– English

Author Comments

First, let me thank you for getting this far. I’m just one dude who likes Stellaris a lot and this is really my first mod I’ve made. I put out two smaller mods before this and those were made during the production of this project. My work is probably sloppy since I started out this knowing nothing, but I’ve attempted to improve as I go. This took over a while of pretty consistent work to learn what I wanted to do for this and it was certainly an experience.

If you like the mod help me out. Rate the mod and favorite it. It gets the mod noticed for others to see.

Bugs? Comments? Suggestions?

Comment down below in the comments section for your bug issues, overwhelming (or less than) praise, or suggestions for making this even better. I’ll gladly take suggestions into consideration and bugs should be taken care of when I can.
