Description:
Generate wormholes with a starbase building.

To unlock the building requires the Wormhole Stabilization tech, and then either the Voidborn ascension perk or the Gateway Construction tech.

A wormhole will be generated at the end of the month between two systems with a completed Wormhole Generator module on the starbase. It still needs to be explored by a science ship.

The module’s base cost is 2500 Minerals, 1000 Energy, 50 Influence and takes a base time of 2 years to build.

You don’t pick which systems link. If you have three completed buildings, two will have their wormhole linked randomly at the end of the month. If you have four completed buildings, two wormholes will be linked randomly at the end of the month, then the other two wormholes the following month’s end.

Build them in pairs and wait for the month to end after they’re both finished building, if you want a guarentee of which systems link.

PLANS
Didn’t get it working yet, but I’d like to try and get a wormhole to be closed if the building is removed from either starbase, or the starbase is ‘shutdown’.

COMPATIBILITY
No vanilla files are modified or over-ridden.
Does not need/works with/not included in AlphaMod.
Should be fine with an existing save-game.
Not Ironman achievement compatible.
Didn’t even try to get the AI to use this.
