Description:

This mod adds a civic "Jump Drive technology" as well as a new tech line of FTL components that are enabled by said civic.

Picking this civic at the start of the game wil replace Hyperdrives with Prototype Jump Drives for your empire. AI empires can spawn with this civic too.

——– Effects ——–

Prototype Jump Drives retain the ability of hyperlane travel from hyperdrives, however they receive no further bonuses to that type of travel.
Instead, your ships will immeditely gain the ability to execute point-to-point jumps.

Jumpdrive cooldown for Prototype Jump Drives is 15 days.
Regular jump drive cooldown has been reduced to 150 days.

In order to compensate, Hyperdrives now also grant sublight speed bonus to ships that are equipped with them (+33% / +66% / +100% for each tier respectively).

This basicaly results in Hyperdrive equipped ships being slow in interstellar travel, but fast when doing in-system travel and/or maneuvers.
Ships equipped with Prototype Jump Drives travel swiftly over long distances, but are slower when travelling inside systems.

This mod also makes civilian ships fully designable, in order to allow PJD empire switch between Psi Jump Drives and their Prototype Jump Drives for all ships.

———- !!!!IMPORTANT!!!! ———–

Due to an ongoing bug, where Jump Drives do not trigger "on_entering_system" actions, in order to trigger events such as Old Gods (four shrines), first contact message and such, you still have to use hyperlane travel to enter said system.

Also, I was not able to locate the event that handles releasing planets as vassals. Vassals released by empires with Prototype Jump Drives will have that technology, but will not have the civic (however they still won’t be able to use hyperdrives).

Please leave any feedback in the comment section. As this mod is still in heavy testing phase, I’d like to get as much opinions regarding overall performance and balance as possible.

Adds any additional FTL component to the game
